Arctic Sun Gardening provides custom garden and landscape services in the Anchorage area, working with nature to create beautiful landscapes. We are committed to the development of environmentally sensitive gardens using as many organic methods as possible. Arctic Sun Gardening looks at the long term investments and impacts of landscaping choices on our land, our community and the people who live there.

Suanne Sikkema, owner and operator of Arctic Sun Gardening, has been passionate about plants and gardening since before she moved to Alaska in 1991. She worked in several different aspects of the landscaping field, educating herself in Alaska’s specific plant palette and landscape issues before beginning her own business. She is a guest garden columnist for the Anchorage Daily News and has taught plant and gardening classes for the community schools program.
